Zunheboto, October 3 (MExN): Following the alleged “rape and murder” case of September 18, 2017, the Khekiye Village Council Court, Aghunato informed that a general meeting was held on September 23 in “transcribe of Sumi public rally under the aegis of Sumi Hoho and Sumi Totimi Hoho.” In the meeting, the public deliberated on the “aspects and nature of the crime case where an innocent woman was raped and murdered within its village jurisdiction.” The public observed that “the crime case is measured to be one of the rarest and being the first in the village record” and it resolved to expel the alleged accused, Samuel and his entire family with immediate effect on September 20, 2017 from the “fold and count of his village.” All the immovable, movable and household belongings have also been seized with immediate effect of this order and shall not be claimed, stated the expulsion order issued by Huketo Murru, chairman, Village Council on behalf of the public of Khekiye Village. further, it resolved that “From the effect of this public discourse and promulgation of orders, if anybody or members shows protest against these orders shall be counted an abetment or connivance with the criminal and that person identified shall be forwarded to Sumi apex bodies for befitting action.”
