Kohima, August 13 (MExN): 10th Northern Angami 1 MLA and Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports, State Lotteries and MTF, Government of Nagaland, Khriehu Liezietsu has expressed his appreciation to the Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo CARE (KABA CARE) for undertaking voluntary beautification works in Kohima.
He said, "Besides other environmental activities that were carried out to give a cleaner, greener and healthier look to the capital town, the present artwork being done on the footbridges in Kohima is highly commendable. The creative and colourful designs depicting varied themes have really brightened the outlook of our town. Kohima is the capital of Nagaland and besides being home to native inhabitants, it is also home to all other tribes and hence it belongs to all of us. This belongingness could not have been displayed in any better way than initiative of KABA CARE. Now it is the responsibility of every citizen to take care of the beautiful works and to initiate similar projects so as to lend support to one another".
He further added that he is particularly grateful to KABA CARE for including the footbridge at High School junction which happens to fall under his constituency and urged all members of the colony and the general public to safeguard the beautiful works and draw inspiration from them to make Kohima cleaner and healthier.
