Kidima St Francis Xavier’s Thanks Giving 2016 observed

Kidima, January 2 (MExN): St Francis Xavier’s Catholic Church Kidima completion of 46 years of “salvation faith in the village cum thanks giving” with Reverend Father Raymond D’Souza SJ, Director of Eden Garden, Children Home, Khuzama on December 31, 2016 night at Church premises.   Reverend Father Raymond D’Souza SJ in the introductory note said Jesus himself built Church on rock Peter that was faith. Father asked the faithful people to celebrate sacred service with enthusiasm and joyful. Further, he appealed in the large gathering people to help one another with joy and peace. In the thanks giving celebration offered gratitude to God for giving life, faith and good health in the year and continue till end of the life, Father D’Souza added. Father also asked pardon and mercy from God then could accept before Him. Father cited an example of Roman Empire who tries to destroy church but at last they were defeated itself. D’Souza who was a pioneer missionary of Catholic faith in Kidima village lamented that could not have priest (Father) in 46 years of time and hope could have in 75 years time.   P. Tepekrovi Kiso in a press release said that special prayer was offered for Golden Jubilee 50 years to be celebrated in 2020. Holy Eucharist, lighting of 46 candles for the sign of years and thanks giving for all the blessing of year 2016 were the highlighted of the sacred programme.
