Kiphire, May 4 (MExN): Kiphire District COVID-19 Welfare Committee donated a cash of INR 25000 to Chief Medical Officer’s Office, Kiphire, in the presence of Dr Dheni Thonger, District Epidemiologist, on May 4.
During an interaction, Dr Tsilise, Secretary, Kiphire District COVID-19 Welfare Committee expressed appreciation to the medical department in its fight against COVID-19. He lauded the commendable job done by the medical department during the first wave and urged the department to do the same even during the present crisis.
Stating that the money was donated to assist in COVID-19 related activities, especially during contact tracing, sample collection, and transportation, the committee called on the department to continue doing the good job while assuring their cooperation and helping hand in the future, a press release from the DMO, CMO Office informed on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Dr Dheni expressed gratitude to the committee for their gesture and said that the department would be able to do much with their contribution.
The doctor added that in the near future, the medical department would require their physical presence and moral support, which he said, would play a big role in boosting the morale in its continued fight against COVID-19.
Dr Dheni further stated that the pandemic is a public health concern, wherein, every citizen should play a proactive role by strictly following the SOPs laid down by the government.
