Kiphire District Administration organized a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing ADC, Reny Wilfred, IAS at the DC’s Conference Hall on August 5. The function was attended by representatives from various civil society organizations.
Reny Wilfred will be taking charge as the first Deputy Commissioner of the newly created district, Noklak.
Delivering his farewell address, Reny said, “It has been a pleasant experience working in Kiphire despite of lots of challenges. But with the help and cooperation from all corners, we could successful achieve lot of things as a team.” He expressed gratitude to all his predecessors for assisting him.
The outgoing ADC also stated that he would be taking away the ‘best gifts of kind words, support and cooperation’ that the people of Kiphire have bestowed upon him. “Whenever there was any issue or problem, Kiphire CSOs were all there, irrespective of position you hold, for which lot of things could be achieved,” he acknowledged.
He also expressed hope that within no time Kiphire will be able to develop and become one of the most developed districts in Eastern Nagaland.
Thanking his fellow administration officers, Reny stated that without them nothing would have been possible and he will carry forward the spirit of working together to the new district.
Delivering a short speech, DC Kiphire Abhinav Shivam, IAS said there cannot be a better DC for Noklak than Reny Wilfred and expressed optimism that Noklak is up for many good things because of the kind of experience and energy the new DC will bring in to benefit the district.
Speaking on behalf of United Sangtam Likhüm Phümji (USLP), General Secretary, P Achumse Sangtam congratulated Reny Wilfred on becoming the first DC of Noklak and stated that not only the people of Noklak but Eastern Naga as a whole will gain a lot from him.
He thanked Reny for undertaking various developmental activities in Kiphire especially in the field of education, health and Agri & Allied Sector. Describing Reny as one of the most upright, honest and dedicated officer, Achumse stated that Noklak was extremely fortunate to be getting one of the most hardworking officers who walk extra miles beyond the call of duty.
The farewell function was led by Imlijungla Lemtur, EAC HQ and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Cthitu Nienu EAC (P) while short speech was also given by YTC and Eleven Ward Chairman.
