Kohima, October 28 (MExN): The Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhüng (KLEE) held its general meeting on October 26 at AWO Ki, Kohima.
During the meeting, it resolved that the present KLEE team will continue for another one year in view of the Kohima Lotha Hoho 50 years jubilee which is to be celebrated next year. KLEE resolved to check on the misuse of social media by any person or groups within its Ekhung and usage of Lotha traditional attires based on different occasions.
Speaking at the occasion as the special guest, Zanbeni Yanthan, president, ImpactHer, Nagaland, urged the members to work together for the upliftment of women and be the support system of the society for betterment. She pointed out that mothers should guide the youngsters to respect and give importance to the elders and also reminded the womenfolk to support the family and society with perseverance and to acquire more knowledge from all.
Kohima Lotha Hoho chairman, KN Mhonthung Lotha in his greeting message said the society need more women contributions for better development while reminding that except in the decision making womenfolk in general are faring better than men these days.
Earlier, KLEE President Renboni Ezung urged upon the members to preserve the traditional attires and to further build the bond of relationships between the KLEE and the various churches and work together.
KLEE General Secretary Achanbeni Shitio and KLEE treasurer Avani AE Lotha presented the KLEE report and financial matter respectively. Tumchobeni Tsopoe and Mhombemo Murry enthralled the gathering with special numbers.
The meeting was chaired by Mhabeni Kikon, vice president, KLEE while vote of thanks was pronounced by Thungchanbeni Kikon, vice president KLEE. Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, Women Leader, Ethel Shitio pronounced special prayer for the Kohima Lotha Eloe, while Rempeni Kikon, Women leader, Kohima Lotha AG Church and Adeno Kithan, Women Leader, Kohima Lotha Catholic said the invocation and the benediction prayers respectively.
