KMC holds essay competition

Kohima, November 20 (MExN): Joining the nationwide ‘Swacchata Hi Seva’ (Cleanliness is Service) Campaign, the  Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) organized an essay competition on Plastic Free India for the Higher Secondary Schools in Kohima on November 16 in the DC Conference Hall. 60 students from 31 Higher Secondary Schools participated. Students were given two topics to choose: My Dream for a Plastic Free Kohima and Role of Citizens towards a Plastic free Kohima. Keviseto Mekro, CD King HSS, Phezhu stood 1st, Seiesanuo Keyho, Rashtra Bhasha Samiti, Kohima stood 2nd and the 3rd position was secured by Nithosano Nagi, GHSS, Jotsoma. KMC Administrator Kovi Meyase in a press release acknowledged all the 60 participants. The winners are informed to collect their cash prizes and certificates from KMC office on November 27 during office hours.
