
Kohima, November 28 (MExN): As per the directive of the state government to conduct social work especially on the main highways, Kovi Meyase, Administrator, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has requested the ward numbers - 8,9,10,11,14,15,16 & 18 to conduct social work on November 30 for the forthcoming Hornbill festival from 6:00 am onwards. All the listed panchayats has been requested to do the needful. For requirement of vehicles, if any on the social work day, may contact the Sanitary Inspectors, Keneilhousa Kire 9856823989 or Khrielaphrezo 9077798101. He also informed all wards to maintain cleanliness in their respective areas and the business community to paint their shops/display signboards along with good lighting immediately for the coming festival.
In a separate release, Meyase informed all the intending candidates who have applied for the post of Driver and Sweeper under the establishment of KMC that an interview is scheduled to be held on December 6 at KMC office. All the concerned has been directed to report to the office at 10:00 am along with their original documents.
Meyase further informed all ward panchayats of KMC that the 9th Edition of Annual ‘Inter-ward Cleanliness Competition cum Pre-Christmas Celebration 2019’ will be held on December 16, 4:00 pm from the KMC office premises. All wards are requested to continually keep their respective wards clean and tidy with festivity illumination. Meyase in a press release informed that the Award Committee constitutes under KMC have already started inspection and marking of points in various aspects of the award criteria.
