
Kohima, August 17 (DIPR): The monthly Kohima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of August 2017 was held on August 17 at DPDB Hall, Kohima
Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS appreciated the support rendered by the District officers during the bye-election. To avoid confusion when detailing works, the DC requested the Heads of Offices to check the employees attached to the sub-division under their respective departments. He further informed the members to requisition vehicles as and when required for Government duties to avert problems. Responding to the Prime Minister’s New India Policy announcement, to bring about new developments on the country, he requested the members to prepare their road map and submit soft and hard copy to the ADC, Headquarter before September 20. On the issue of land encroachment, he informed the members to collect the format form and submit the same to his office.
The CEO was entrusted to present their Department activities in the next DPDB Meeting. Urging the members to be sincere and devoted, the DC introduced to the members the District Agriculture officer (DAO) who received the Governor’s Commendation Certificate.
ADC Planning, Ketoho Luho informed the house that the Village Adoption Committee has been recognized by the Government of India and encouraged the committee members to cover all the areas including Education, Economy and Sanitation in their concerned wards and villages and to focus more on humanity developments. He also requested the villagers not to ask for bigger projects beyond the Capacity of the Adoption Committee as it is a voluntary humanitarian service and urged them to cooperate with the teams. He requested the members of the committee to be pro-active and sincere to their assigned work.
The Board reviewed the minutes of the last meeting. The various committees on Adoption of Village/Ward also presented their report. The board also discussed the agenda for registration of some societies and unanimously resolved to forward the same to the concern department for the necessary action.
