The Kohima Lotha Hoho (KLH) today convened its general meeting at Capital Convention Centre Kohima, bringing together key leaders and members to discuss the future of the Lotha community in particular and for the upliftment of the Naga society in general.

MLA and chairman SDPDB Bhandari, Achumbemo Kikon attended the meet as the special guest and emphasized on the need to preserve culture and tradition through the active use of one’s mother tongue.

Kikon underscored that true progress begins with safeguarding cultural identity and called upon the Lotha community to remain united and work collectively for the upliftment of the Naga society as a whole.

He further stressed the need for reform, starting with the electoral system, pointing out that a more transparent and just election process is essential for the growth of the society.

Exhorting the gathering, Anthony Ngullie, Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports, urged the community to reflect on their roles in society, as the actions of today’s leaders will shape the values and aspirations of younger generations. Ngullie reminded the gathering that the younger generation looks up to them for guidance and leadership, and their conduct will influence the society of tomorrow.

The meeting commenced with a welcome address by KLH chairman KN Mhonthung Lotha.

A special prayer was offered by Rev Dr K Benry Lotha for the successful candidates of the recent NPSC and NSSB exams, blessing them for their future endeavors.

During the meeting, General Secretary’s Report was presented by S Chonbemo Lotha, Audit Committee Report by Convenor, Khyochamo Tungoe and Treasurer’s Report by L Yanremo Mozhui.
