Kohima North PS apprehend four vehicle lifter

The Kohima North Police personnel manning Peducha Check gate on Saturday apprehended four car lifters at around 9:20 pm. Police said that on receiving information at 8:50 pm, North PS mobilized the party led by 2nd OC Inaka Kinny and alerted the check gate and in the process apprehended the four at 9:10 pm at the Peducha Check Gate.

Police recovered the local taxi (Alto) bearing NL O1T- 8171 which the four hired from high school area and brought to the police station. The taxi driver is safe, police said. Police also said the four extorted money amounting to Rs. 18,000 from the truck bearing NL07 A 1697 on the Highway.

The four are habitual offenders, police said and further informed that a cash amount of Rs. 8010 was 
recovered from them. 

The four were identified as Azeu Kense, 22, s/o Siesa Kense, village Tuophema, P/Address- Tinpati Kohima, Ronald Mizo, 37, s/o L.N. Tlunga, village- Aizwal, P/Address- PWD colony Kohima, Thanzamang Singson, 30, s/o Ahen Singson, village, Kanjang, Phek, P/Address- Chandmari Kohima and Tulsi, 27, s/o Sitaram (Bihari), P/Address- Chandmari Kohima.
