Kohima, January 19 (MExN): The Kohima Police has arrested two people with suspected contraband drugs routine checking of vehicles at Khuzama on January 18.
According to PRO Kohima Police, a team of Kohima Police on Tuesday around 1:00 pm while conducting routine checking of vehicles at Khuzama intercepted one Maruti Vitara Breeza bearing registration No. GJ08BN3810 and detected 15 packets of suspected opium weighing one kilograms each which was concealed in an empty space below the door of the said vehicle.
In this connection, two people identified as Suresh Kumar and Raju Ram have been arrested and the contraband along with the vehicle have been seized, the PRO said.
Accordingly, a case under NDPS Act 1985 has been registered for further investigation.
