Kohima, February 10 (MExN): Kohima Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Shanavas C has appointed the Attestation Officers, Assistant Videographers, Micro Observers for casting of Postal Ballots for Absentee Voters for Assembly Constituencies under Kohima district.
The DC & DEO, through the state DIPR said that all the polling personnel are deemed to be on deputation to the Election Commission of India and shall be subjected to the control, superintendence and discipline of the Election Commission of India.
In this connection, training/ briefing for all the appointed Officials shall be held at DC's Conference Hall, Kohima on February 16, at 11:11 AM, the DC informed while directing all the appointed polling personnel to attend the said training/briefing without fail. The order further informed that failure to attend the training shall invite disciplinary action under relevant provision of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
