Kohima: Random sampling underway in rural areas

Kohima, June 4 (MExN): As per the directives given by the Kohima District Task Force on COVID-19 in view of the detection of COVID-19 positive cases in rural areas, random sampling is being carried out in various rural areas under Kohima district.

According to a DIPR report, the random sampling drive was conducted at Kezo Town and Kidima by Kohima CMO Team and MO Kezocha along with administration and PS Kezocha on June 3.

A total of 33 samples were collected from these two areas during the drive.

The random drive was also conducted on the same day at Tseminyu sub-division amongst the town residents including shop keepers and traders. A total of 107 samples were collected during the drive led by district administration, medical team and Tseminyu Sub-Divisional Task Force on COVID -19. 

Meanwhile on the ongoing Covid vaccination, the Tseminyu Medical Team at Tesophenyu PHC, on June 4 vaccinated 30 beneficiaries including village front line workers, 27 beneficiaries from the age group of 18 - 44 years and three from 45 years and above, the report added.
