
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 22 (MExN): Kohima Science College (KSC), Jotsoma is completing 50 years of its existence this year. The college was established in the year 1961 through the initiative of the following founding members: Lt. Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire, Lt. Mr. Keduonyü Sekhose, Lt. Mr. J.B Jasokie, Lt. Mr U.M Deb, Lt. Mr Vizol Angami, Lt. Mr Akum Imlong and Rev. S.L Haizoyuo Munshi with an enrollment of 21 students in the first year.
KSC was then affiliated to Gauhati University. This was informed in a press note issued by Dr Vituo Belho, Principal of Kohima Science College. Since then it has successful been affiliated to North Eastern Hill University and Nagaland University. At present the college has a total strength of over 1400 students. The principal, Staffs and students of KSC has invited all Alumni and well wishers to join them in the Golden Jubilee celebration of the college that will be held in the month of November 2011.
