Kohima, March 15 (MExN): District level social audit public hearing under MGNREGA for six villages audited for the FY 2019-20 was convened at DPDB Conference Hall, Kohima on March 9.
The Gram Panchayat/villages in attendance were Sakhabama, KezoBasa, Kezoma, Kidima, Kuzama, and Viswema under RD Block Jakhama. The programme was chaired by C Khanyang Imlong, Project Director cum DPC, DRDA Kohima, stated a DIPR report.
Imlirenla Sanglir, State Resource Person, Social Audit Unit Nagaland highlighted the MGNREGA programme and the importance of Social Audit under the programme. Ruopfukuotuo Noudi, SDO (C), Jakhama represented the Administration, and Kezhaletuo Angami, Senior Audit Officer from AG attended the hearing as observers.
DRPs, BRP & VRP presented the findings of the social audit followed by reading out village-wise Gram Sabha resolutions.
