Kohima: Winners of New india@75 online competition awarded

Kohima, March 27 (MExN): A felicitation programme for the winners of the New India @75 - phase 2 and phase 3 online competitions was held at DC's Conference Hall, Kohima on March 25.

The online competition was conducted under the theme HIV, TB and Blood Donation with four concepts, namely, paint your thought, voice your thought, film your thought and publicise your thought for selected schools and colleges, according to a DIPR report.

Among the twelve schools and twelve colleges, the winners holding the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in each theme and each concept were awarded cash prizes and certificates handed over by the ADC Kohima, N Bhavani Sri and CMO Kohima, Dr Vezokholu Theyo during the programme.

The winners of the competition were from the schools and colleges of Fernwood School, Northfield School, Government High School PWD and Little Flower Higher Secondary School; St. Joseph's College, Sazolie College of Teacher's Education, Mount Olive College, Kohima Law College, Government Polytechnic College, Kros College, Modern College and Modern Institute of Teacher's Education, the DIPR stated.

Meanwhile, ADC Bhavani while exhorting the gathering said various health activities have been conducted in different phases under the banner of New India @75 activities.

Stating that awareness on TB, HIV and Blood Donation were important subjects; the ADC maintained that the awareness programme was successfully conducted with the overwhelming response of the students through participation and presentations. She encouraged the students to take forward the knowledge that they have gathered through the campaign and to put it into practice in their lives.  

CMO Kohima Dr Vezokholu Theyo who also spoke on the occasion said the awareness campaign was started off on September 9, 2021 with the first batch of schools and colleges in online and offline mode. She said that a total of three phases have been conducted with six schools and six colleges in each phase. She further congratulated the winners of the competition and expressed her hope to see them as achiever at the National level competition in future.
