“Searching May,” “Pin Drop Silence” and “Fifth Note” bands have been selected from Kohima zonal audition for the grand finale (state level competition) scheduled for November 26 in Kohima.
Those three bands have been selected during Kohima Zonal Audition (Kohima, Phek, Wokha and Kiphire districts) as part of part of 9th Multi Media Campaign 2019-Creating HIV awareness through music, organized by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society at the State Academy Hall, Kohima.
It was conducted by District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit Kohima with the theme “Know your HIV status. Get tested and treated” with the aim to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS through music.
Speaking on the occasion as the guest speaker, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) administrator Kovi Meyase, called upon the people to be an ambassador for spreading awareness on HIV/AIDS and also build a partnership in doing away with the stigma.
Music been such a potent part of our life, he said and expressed appreciation to Nagaland State AIDS Control Society for propelling the awareness through the medium of music.
Colo Mero, Director, Life Ministries Nagaland attended the programme as the motivational speaker and told that one has to be careful of the present day relationship.
Love yourself. Take good care of your family, people and above all love God, he said. Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Dr. Asunu Sakhrie, DACO, DAPCU while Sentimonla Tsudir DPO, DAPCU gave closing remarks
Judges for the audition included Mengu Suokhrie, Alfred Besü and Metevinuo Sakhrie.
