Kohima, September 17 (MExN): Kripa Foundation, Nagaland as part of its Project Sunrise initiatives will conduct a sensitization workshop on HIV/AIDS with the 14th NAP (IR) in Kiphire on September 19 at the Battalion's unit church.
The workshop will comprise of various technical presentations by different resource persons on topics such as HIV/AIDS scenario of the district, AIDS management with ART, drug and alcohol abuse. The workshop will also be addressed by a community representative from the Kiphire District Network of People living with HIV/AIDS (KDNP+), informed a press release from Ketho Angami, Program Coordinator, Kripa Foundation/Project Sunrise.
Altogether, 250 police personnel along with some of their family members are expected to attend the workshop. During the course of the workshop, the organizers will distribute IEC materials related to HIV/AIDS, drug and alcohol and also copies of the Nagaland state substance abuse prevention and treatment policy 2016.
The workshop is jointly organised by Kripa Foundation, 14th NAP (IR) Kiphire, NSACS and FHI. Lakha Koza (NPS), Commanding Officer of the Battalion and President's Police Medal awardee for meritorious service 2017 will grace the program as the guest of honor.
