Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The Department of Land Records and Survey, Dimapur on April 7 held a felicitation programme in honour of Neiba Kronu, Minister Planning & Co-ordination and Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland on his maiden visit to the Directorate at Conference Hall.
Neiba Kronu in his speech stressed about the importance of land and its uses and on account of that, he stated that Land Records & Survey is a very important department dealing with all the developmental activities in the state. He asked the department officials to fully cooperate and coordinate since he wants to revamp the land system in our state, stated a press release.
“In order to bring things into working system and make our land more valuable,” the Minister stressed on “the need to convert our land into cadastral land.” The importance of land can be assessed basing on current developmental works such as four-lane road, railway projects etc.
He also stressed on providing quick land clearance to those investors who are willing to set up firms in our state. He stated that transparency should be strictly maintained in the working procedure and it is a duty bound for all to protect the Government land. He encouraged the Department to work whole-heartedly for the welfare of the public, since PDA Government is going to assess timely performance of each and every Government department.
This being his first time in the Department, he asked the Department personnel to put forward any suggestions, queries or grievances for the betterment and improvement of the department.
The meeting was chaired by Chubasangla Anar, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Land Revenue& NRE.
