Mon, March 12 (MExN): Advisor, Social Welfare, Wangpang Konyak graced the opening programme of the Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) 24th Sports Meet cum 77th Federal Assembly at Local Ground, Mon on March 11.
The Advisor in his address said that through such events, people will improve in the fields of sports and literacy, stated a DIPR report. He stressed on the importance of joint responsibility to which he urged the people to cooperate with leaders. He stated that education and knowledge is power, and preparation is the foundation. He called on the students to be sincere in their studies and focus on competitive examination. He also spoke on human resources and urged the civil society organisations to take steps for a better future.
Other highlights of the programme included the flag hosting by KSU President, Temwang and KSU Anthem by Sacred Heart School Choir. Welcome address was delivered by President KSU while a special number was presented by Tobu Area Students’ Union. The oath was administered by Games & Sports Secretary KSU, Chingkap.
The event is hosted by the Mon Area Students’ Union under the theme ‘Reawakening the present; Re-envisioning the future’ and it will conclude on March 19.
