29th NWA meet champ Kezhaseluo-o Pienyii, medalists of North East Games 2024 and others during felicitation programme on April 10.

The Kohima Village Council (KVC) today organised a felicitation programme for achievers of sportspersons from Kohima village at the recently concluded North East Games 2024 and 29th Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) Meet 2024.
Speaking on the occasion as the special guest at Kohima Village Council Hall, K Neibou Sekhose president, Nagaland Football Association, maintained that athletes are the icons and gems of the village.
We should not be bounded in our comfort zone but strive for greater and higher level of competition, he said. Congratulating the achievers and other athletes, Kohima Village Council (KVC) chairman Helievio Solo said that the Council will soon frame policy to promote sports in the village.
KVC Vice Chairman Zeneizo Rutsa also spoke at the programme.
35 athletes were feted during the programme which includes Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü, Champion 29th NWA Meet 2024 and 14 medal winners in various events at Northeast Games 2024.
Medal winners at the various zonal and national level games were also felicitated.
