
Kiphire, February 1 (MExN): The Kiphire Village Council (KVC) has asked the concern law enforcing agency to issue more details with regard to the news published in local dailies under the caption “Dimapur Crime Report, Eight arrested” where it stated that Atoshe Awomi of Kiphire Village was arrested on January 23 from Rangapahar by the law enforcing agency for procession automatic rifle.
KVC, Chairman, Tsipithong and Secretary, Setongba in a joint press statement strongly condemned the self style statement given to police by so called Atoshe Awomi and hurting the sentiments of whole Kiphire Village citizens. The council stated that the culprit Atoshe Awomi does not belong to Kiphire Village citizen and there is no such name called Atoshe Awomi in Kiphire Village.
Therefore, the KVC seek “a crystal clear clarification” of Atoshe Awomi identity (Village, Father’s name) from the law enforcing agency and besides to give the real statement through daily media at the earliest as the statement made by Atoshe Awomi is baseless and has spoiled the image of Kiphire Village. Meanwhile, the KVC urges the authority concern to thoroughly investigate the culprit Atoshe Awomi and book him as per the law.
