The session was conducted on the theme ‘Honey Bee-keeping and the Way Forward’, to understand the gaps and usher in better approaches for successful Bee-keeping and honey production.

During interaction many Honey bee farmers shared that lack of honey processing and bottling plant has direct impact on honey production and marketing. Despite its promotion by different departments, they said many farmers are disheartened by limited marketing avenues which they believe is due to non availability of Honey processing facilities and hoped that if any such arrangement can be made to help Bee keepers in Tuensang, Honey production will increase as most farmers in the areas are well trained in bee keeping.
