KVYO Sekrenyi cum cultural competition on Mar 9

Kohima, March 3 (MExN): As part of Angami Sekrenyi festival celebration, Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) will be organising its Sekrenyi cum cultural competition on March 9 at Kohima village ground, Ziekezou.  

The programme is being jointly initiated and supported by Music Task Force, with the aim to promote and preserve indigenous music and songs. The competition would be opened for all Khel peli’s (age groups), combined groups (from different Khels) and all individuals belonging to Kohima village.   KVYO has requested all its members and well wishers residing in Kohima village and elsewhere to compulsorily attend the programme and actively take part in the joint effort to preserve and promote its rich cultural heritage. All participants are instructed to wear full traditional attire.   This was informed in a press release issued by KVYO Publicity Secretary Salhourű Chielie.
