DIMAPUR, AUGUST 26 (MExN): The Kulolau Yemishe Ghami Kuqhakulu (KYGK) today condemned the shooting incident on August 16 where Late Col Toishe Yeptho of the NSCN (IM), a bona fide member of KYGK, was shot dead at his residence in Dimapur.
A press release from the KYGK said that “the persons involved in the dastard act of killing Late Col Toishe Yeptho must not be shielded under the guise of being National Worker and should be immediately terminated from the respective factions if they (culprits) belong to any factions so as to enable the law enforcing agency to pursue the matter as per the law of the land in the interest of justice.”
It further asked the investigating authority that the accused should be booked and put to trial at the earliest. "Taking the life so easily without any culpable offence and taking law into their own hands should not go unpunished in a civilized world," it added.
The KYGK meanwhile stated that it is “totally against any factional hostility among brothers out of this issue or any form, killing among brothers cannot bring solution.” It however stated that the KYGK “will not remain mute spectator till those persons involved in the killing are booked by the law enforcing agencies under the relevant sections of law.”
