DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 23 (MExN): The Lahorijan & Khatkhati Transporters Union has refuted the allegation made by the NSCN (IM) that the sole proprietor of KK Agency is extorting money from truck drivers in the name of the aforementioned Agency. A press statement issued by the Union on Saturday claimed that KK Agency is a legitimate transporter agency and the trucks that are enrolled with the Agency deal in delivering government goods within the state and outside. It also informed that the Agency has a trading license issued by the office of the Karbi-Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu, Assam bearing license No T/L No:-GEN/361 dated 7/4/88. It therefore termed that the allegation made as totally baseless and void while at the same time urging the NSCN (IM) to make proper inquiry before pointing fingers.
