Land Resources department bids adieu to two officers

  Kohima, June 30 (MExN): Directorate of Land Resources organized a farewell programme for two of its officers – Keneingulie (Deputy Director) & Mathew Philip (Assistant Engineer) – on June 28 at the directorate’s conference hall in Kohima.   The Director, Hoto Yeptho recollected the experiences and challenges they faced and also mentioned the humble, cool, cheerful and pleasing nature of the retiring officers, informed a press release received here.   He further said that retirement from government service was a milestone achievement, and the best part was retiring with good health which many fail to achieve. The Director wished them both a long and happy retired life.   Keneingulie meanwhile thanked God for the good health and also the department and staff for the programme organized in their honour. He also expressed happiness on his long journey of government service, the release said.   Further, Mathew Philip mentioned that unlike other departments, the officers and staff of the Land Resources department were like a family and all of them treated him as one of the family members. Though he is leaving Nagaland and going back to his native home (Kerala), he said, he will always cherish the wonderful years of his service and welcomed all to come to Kerala.   The programme was chaired by T. Renben Lotha, Additional Director, who also recounted how they started their service in the department. He also praised the dedication and mild mannered nature of the outgoing officers and wished them the best in the days to come.   Speeches were delivered by Botovi, Registrar on behalf of the directorate staff and Tepunol Yore, DPO on behalf of district officers.
