Kohima, May 18 (MExN): The Dimapur Lotha Eloe, former president Elizabeth Merry has passed away on May 18.
In a condolence note, CM of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio said that late Elizabeth, who is also the wife of T L Merry, General Secretary, NDPP, was a warm-hearted and a selfless person, who always worked for the welfare of the people, especially those belonging to the marginalized sections of society. She has also made sincere efforts towards women development and empowerment.
Rio extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God will grant them peace and solace at this time of grief. “May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” he prayed.
Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) expressed sorrow over the sudden demise of late Elizabeth Merry, wife of T L Merry, former NCD Senior Councilor. The council expressed condolences to the family and prayed for the bereaved family to find solace in the Almighty and also pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) also expressed sorrow and grief at the passing away of late Elizabeth Merry, Advisor NWHD. She served the NWHD as Advisor from 2019 till date.
In her passing away, NWHD said it has lost an eminent leader, great advisor and a great soul. Her service to the society will always be cherished and the void created by her demise will forever be felt. The NWHD shared condolences to her families with prayer that God may give solace and comfort at this hour of grief.
