Kudos to the Nagaland state government and all the stake holders involved in making public transport a reality in dimapur. With the cost of living getting higher day by day, it is truly a relief for the common man as they can now travel in and around dimapur while paying half the fare. Though the launching of public transport may not be welcomed by all, especially by those who feel threatened by it. Regardless of that, it cannot be denied that it is a novel and a positive step for the general interest of the society.
One may also well recollect that It is long been a long time that similar effort was made to launch public transport but may be due to lack of proper planning and a strong political will it could not materialise but looking at the present effort of the government one may hope that public transport in dimapur is here to stay like in kohima and other cities.
Public need to lend their support towards such a positive initiative of the government as this will definitely help to reduce the traffic congestion, reduce air pollution, and create employment opportunities and make our travelling a Safer and an enjoyable one.
