DIMAPUR, SEPT 11 (MExN): “Brig (Retd.)” Livingstone, a legendary figure in the Northeast revolutionary movement and a veteran of many battles with the Indian Security forces died today at Ukhrul District Hospital after a prolong illness related to liver complication, it was informed. A senior member official in the Naga Army he took retirement from “army service” as “brigadier” and joined the civil set-up as a member of Steering Committee and also “Political Commissar,” informed a NSCN-IM MIP press note.
It was further informed that in honour of late “Brig. (Retd.)” Livingstone all NSCN/GPRN office shall remain closed today. Livingstone is from Kachai village in Ukhrul district Manipur. He left behind his wife, a son and a daughter.
