Legislators from Wokha attend DPDB meeting

Wokha, April 11 (MExN): The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on April 11 at DC conference hall, Wokha.  

A news report issued by the DIPR stated that the meeting was chaired by chairman DPDB & Advisor Information Technology, Science & Technology, New & Renewable Energy Mmhonlumo Kikon. Deputy Chief Minister in-charge for Home & National Highways, Y. Patton, Advisor for Horticulture, Mhathung Yanthan and MLA, Dr. Chumben Murry also attended the meeting.  

Addressing the meeting, the chairman requested all members to attend the meeting regularly so that issues pertaining to the district can be addressed timely. He also requested the DC and SP to visit places in case of any border/land issues and take stock of the situation and submit report to higher authority for immediate redressal. Very shortly repair and construction of town road will be taken, where he urged concerned department and officer to ensure that quality work is maintained and utilize fund judiciously.  

Deputy Chief Minister in-charge for Home & National Highway, Y. Patton who also spoke during the meeting, he thanked DC, SP, Para military forces, NGOs and various organization for the co-operation in successfully conducting the election smoothly and peacefully. Supplementing on the issue raised by the chairman, Patton also stressed on timely on-spot verification in case of any law and order problem. He also urged all Officers posted in the district to be regular and work for the progress and prosperity of the district.  

Advisor for Horticulture said wishes and aspiration of the people lies with the officers and appealed to all officers to understand their responsibilities and to be committed to fulfill the needs of the public.  

MLA, Dr. Chumben Murry also highlighted important issues pertaining for the development and beautification of the district and urged his fellow legislators to share responsibilities in brining change and prosperity. The board also approved for setting up of public library. With regard to financial assistance from common pool fund 2018-19 towards celebration of Tokhu Emong festival, the chairman requested the organizers to prepare detail activities of the event for approval. Department of Education presented the activities and programme of the department during the meeting.  

Chairman, DPDB also informed that surprised checking/inspection in all the offices will be made from time to time.
