A Leopard killed by villagers in Liroyimti Village, in Changtongya Sub-division, Mokokchung on August 22 evening. According to sources, the leopard had been creating nuisance in the village and attacking livestock like goats, chicken and other domesticated animals. Leopards are considered more adaptable predators, adept at living in close proximity with humans as long as food and covers are available, often resulting in conflict.
