"Lets not be a burden anymore"

Educated sections of Muslims and hindus from the deprived Barak Valley of Assam based in Nagaland and other states of India should introspect on issues concerning their identity in Nagaland and else where. There was a time when our ancestors migrated, there is still the regular arrivals of Muslims and Hindus from Barak valley of Assam. What can be the reason behind the huge migrations of our barak people on a daily basis.

Is our lands in Barak valley a cursed one for which we migrated.

Are we severely deprived like the people of somalia where drinking water ,food ,electricity and basic amenities of life and the foremost survival is difficult and lack of unemployment opportunities.

We can conclude that we are more or less deprived in every fronts and very much similar to the Somalia's pathetic condition.

Nagaland has the largest number of barak valley populations and this is one of the glaring examples of such deprivations as mentioned

At times I duly acknowledge my gratitude to our Naga brothers and sisters for providing our barak people with better prospects and opportunities in Nagaland.

And I also assure my Naga brothers and sisters that People of Barak will remain ever grateful to your hospitality.

As the movement for a separate Barak State is gearing up towards its logical conclusions of Statehood we are indeed indebted to all. In the New Barak State in the near future we assure that Nagaland will be given a priority.   I

reiterate that we should stop being a burden to our Naga brothers and sisters. It is pertinent to mention here that Nagaland state was formed for the Naga people ,for their betterment and development and not for providing shelter and employment opportunities for the Barak population thoughtout.

Barak valley comprises of three large districts of Assam.

The onus of our employment opportunities and existence for a better living standards falls on the Assam Government and not on the Government of Nagaland and Naga population as a whole.

In short deprivations is enormous and so migration is on a large scale.

We need to think ahead.

It's high time we need to ponder on this issue.

Our Muslim leaders and leaders from different communities of Barak Valley should start questioning themselves. Are we not a burden for our Naga brothers.

Barak valley has to be accorded state hood, until and unless it is not provided we the people of Barak will be inclining towards further deprivations and lack of development and opportunities.   The demand for a separate Barak State ranges from 1948 and still it is an ongoing movement.

Its the people of Barak who has to fight democratically.
