Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite organised “Saawan Ki Mehfil” at Durga Mandir in Dimapur on August 22, bringing together Lions members, guests and around 160 participants for an evening of music, dance, entertainment and festive celebrations.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp in the presence of District Governor Nina Dutta, Guiding Neeta Agarwal, Cabinet Member Anjali, Club President Ritika Jain and Immediate Past President Meena Sethi.
The event featured various competitions, including Best Saawan Ki Malika–Best Dressed, Best Solah Shringar and Best Jodi Ramp Walk. Mantu Jain received the Best Saawan Ki Malika–Best Dressed Award, while consolation prizes were also presented.
A Tambola session and dance entertainment show added to the festivities, with teachers of Dance With Simon Academy presenting choreographed performances.
The Elite members, dressed in pink leheriya outfits and adorned with mehendi and traditional gajras, added to the festive ambience. A special Best Elite Dressed Woman Award was also presented by the club’s president, secretary and treasurer (PST) members.
The event was chaired by Lion Shweta Mundra, with Lion Payal Jain as co-chairperson. Lion Prerna Maheshwari and Lion Shweta Mundra hosted the programme.
The organisers said the celebration strengthened fellowship, camaraderie and togetherness among Lions members and the wider community.
