LNBA-M calls for togetherness

The Liangmai Naga Baptist Association, Manipur (LNBA-M), while appealing to the Nagas to “to hold on together in one spirit,” said that churches under the Association have been “fervently” praying for the success of the Naga peace talks.

The LNBA said that despite the “artificial” boundaries, it is important for “Naga brethren to hold on together in one spirit”. The Liangmai body then narrated on how Nagas have come this far fighting for their dignity. LNBA said that the Naga journey has been full of trials and hardship.

LNBA mentioned about the recognition of the “unique history of the Nagas” by the Government of India. It also mentioned the signing of the Framework Agreement on August 3, 2015 and expressed hope that, “solution” to the Naga political issue is not far off.

It appealed to the Government of India to exhibit political will in order to bring “honourable solution” to the Naga political issue and prayed for wisdom to guide Th Muivah, Ato Kilonser of the NSCN (IM) in the peace talks.
