ANSTA emergency meeting

Kohima, June 23 (MExN):
The All Nagaland School Teachers Association is convening an emergency meeting on June 28 at LCS Building near Ao Church Kohima at 10:00 AM. The executives of all the concerned units and sub-units have been directed to attend the meeting positively. Meanwhile, the units/subunits which have not submitted membership fee to submit the same in the said meeting. This was stated in a release issued by ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth.

Consumers club to launch on 24 June at Loyola Jakhama  

Kohima, June 23 (MExN):
With the aim to reduce Consumer Exploitation by creating more awareness amongst the students’, Loyola School Jakhama has formed Consumers club in collaboration with the Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection to the Government of Nagaland and the consumer club that will be officially launched by Kezhokhoto Savi, president NVCO on 24th June at the Chapel Hall, Loyola School, Jakhama.  Consumer education has become so important to every citizen whereby several states in the country even introduce consumer education as part of syllabus in the State Educational Board and awareness is still lacking in the state of Nagaland and even amongst the students and for which formation of consumers club in the school has become a necessity, stated the press release issued by President NVCO Kezhokhoto Savi. Consumer club has several activities such as drawing competition, debate, etc on the subject of Consumer protection. The NVCO encourage other schools to forms Consumer Club which will educate the students to know their rights and duties as a consumer.

CoPU, NLA evidence meet

Kohima, June 23 (MExN):
The Committee on Public Undertakings, Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has fixed its evidence meeting with the departmental representatives of industries and commerce and geology and mining for examination of report of Comptroller and Auditor General Paras 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 on July 6. The meeting will take place in the assembly committee room, NLA, Kohima.

DC Wokha informs

Wokha, June 23 (DIPR):
Training programme on office procedure for Heads of Offices under Wokha district will be held at DC’s Conference Hall Wokha on June 28 and 29 from 10 am to 3 pm. In this connection, the Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Rovilato Mor has requested all the Heads of Offices to attend the training programme along with two Dealing Assistants without fail.

DC Zbto conducts surprise checking

Zunheboto, June 23 (DIPR):
The Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Kiheto Sema and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Robin Zaishwal conducted a surprise visit to all Government offices at Zunheboto on June 23. During the visit, the attendances in some offices were found poor.  The Additional Deputy Commissioner also informed that the second phase of surprise visit would be carried out soon.

Intl Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking

Kohima, June 22 (MExN):
The International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking will take place on June 26 at 11:30 AM at Tseminyu Town Hall. R.Khing, parliamentary secretary horticulture department will grace the occasion as the chief guest Keynote address will be delivered by commissioner and secretary for health & family welfare Menukhol John. Abou Mere, director Kripa Foundation will talk on drug abuse scenario in Nagaland and its impact. Technical session will take place at 1:05 PM. Dr. Chuba, deputy director, educational department, Jatila Jamir, SP Narcotic Cell, Khriebu, president N-Naga DAO and representative from social welfare department will speak at the technical session. The programme is being organized by Rengma Village Council Chairman Forum, Rengma Students’ Union, Nagaland Users Network and supported by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society.

PMEGP applicants’ informed

Dimapur, June 23 (MExN):
All the PMEGP applicants for the year 2011-2012 for both DIC and KVIC/NKVIB are informed that the interview will be held on June 29, 2011 at 9:00 am onward at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Peren. A press note issued by P.Tokugha Achumi, Functional Manager, DIC, Peren stated, “All the candidates are to bring their original documents during interview. No separate call letter shall be issued in this regard.”

Rodent campaign launched at Tseminyu

Kohima, June 23 (MExN):
Launching of Rodent campaign was organized under SDAO, Tseminyu Town Hall Tseminyu. Athinu Rengma SDAO, Tseminyu chaired the programme, while welcome address was delivered by M.N. Shashi A.O, Technical Session was initiated by Myanthung Patton A.O Kohima.  Earlier key note address was delivered by chairman while Ndotsu Kent, Town Council member expressed words of gratitude to the participants. Altogether 40 farmers from different villages of the Tseminyu sub division attended the programme. The organizers also distributed Rodenticides and incentives to all the participants.

Summer Camp held at MBC

Dimapur, June 23 (MExN):
The Christian Education Department (CED) Mangkolemba Baptist Church (MBC) had organized a Summer Camp from June 10 to 12 last with the theme “Make a Difference.” The resource persons were Lima Imsong, Missionary and Asangla, CED, Diphupar ABC. And the programme was being attended by around 430 children. The praise and worship was lead by Sinai Ministry. Meanwhile, there was follow up service right after the summer camp, which lasted till June 19.
