The winners of Mr Model Patkai with judges and special judge at Bundrock Hall, PCC on April 23.
Dimapur, April 24 (MExN): Logan Jeke Tamin was bestowed with the winning title of Mr Model Patkai Season 1 at the Bundrock Hall, Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) on April 23. Tamin also took away four subtitles including Mr Best Ramp Walk and Mr Talent, as per a press release received here today.
Alongba Phom and Hikano K were adjudged first and second runners up respectively. Other contestants who won subtitles included Husaru Vero who took away four subtitles including Mr Popular and Mr Best Personality and Alongba Phom (Mr Multimedia).
According to the press release, the event was organised by Roshan Prasad in association with Meraki Entertainment Nagaland and in collaboration with the Students’ Union Patkai Christian College. The event was hosted by Zarenthung Yanthan who informed that the event was an initiative taken to help orphans.
Rev Dr Vichukho Ngukha, Chaplain, Patkai Christian College pronounced the opening prayer followed with a special presentation by Megorieno Sesa, followed by introductory and ethnic rounds for the top 9 contestants.
The guest of honour Wetshete Thopi commended Meraki Entertainment and encouraged the audience to explore their talents, grab opportunities and continue to dream big. ‘Modelling was a part of hobby in the past but today it provides us a career,’ the release quoted Thopi as saying.
As per the release, renowned Naga model Opang Jamir shared his experiences with the crowd and also mentioned how Nagaland is lacking in the field of modeling. He is said to have described how models can make income on e-commerce sites like Amazon, Myntra and Jabong. He also encouraged the crowd to promote local entrepreneurs for more job opportunities.
Along with a variety of rounds to test the mettle of contestants, the event also featured numerous entertainment performances from various artistes.
The four judges for the event were Thritong Sangtam, founder and president of Meraki Entertainment Nagaland, Mr Dimapur and Mr Kohima; Miss Phek Runner up 2019 & Nagaland Diva 2021 Munulu Chizo, Tonoto Zhimomi, Mr Northeast India 2021 first runner up & Mr Global Nagaland 2021.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by Luyi Chiswute, President, Students’ Union Patkai Christian College (SUPCC) and concluded with closing prayer by Zulusenla Jamir, Assistant professor, Dept of English.
