Longleng, May 11 (MExN): The Longleng District Planning and Development Board deliberated on various development issues in the district during its monthly meeting on May 6.
According to a DIPR report, agenda discussed during the meeting included upgradation/Grant in Aid to private schools and the formation of a district-level committee for Sakshi Aspirational Block.
The report stated that Blooming Buds School, Longleng had sought for upgradation to class 9 and 10 and St Thomas School, Tamlu had applied for Grant in Aid. The house discussed and scrutinised the two proposals and decided to recommend the proposals for further action, it added.
Further, the house appointed the Deputy Commissioner as the Chairperson for the district level committee for Sakshi Aspirational Block. Along with the DC, the following officials were also inducted in to the committee: District Planning Officer as Member Secretary, and EAC Sakshi, BDO Sakshi, DEO/SDEO Education, Executive Engineer PHED, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), SDO Power, and Agri & Allied Department as Members.
Additionally, the house deliberated the proposal for registration of society and agreed to recommend the following societies under Society Registration Act: Aloktepla Welfare Society, Yachem and Eastern Care Society, Longleng, the DIPR report stated.
