Longleng, August 17 (DIPR): Parliamentary Secretary, Land Resource Department & Excise, BS Nganlang Phom inaugurated the new office building of District Project Officer, Longleng on August 16.
Asserting that politicians come and go, Nganlang appealed to the departmental official to maintain the legacy of good workmanship behind for the younger generation to carry forward and move towards the right perspectives. Lamenting bad legacy to be the essence of corruption the Nagas are living with today, he urged the people to initiate and intervene into issues with innovative ideas to progress.
Secretary, Land Resource Department, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS, speaking as the guest of honour, called on the staff and the people of the district to maintain cleanliness of the office. He lauded the Director for keeping the Directorate of Land Resource Department neat and clean, calling the directorate as one of the best directorate in the state, constructed with least expenditure compared to other 22 directorates.
Director, Land Resource Department, Hoto Yeptho presented a brief report on the new office building construction. He informed that the office was constructed under the Special Plan Assistant (SPA) and lauded B.S. Nganlang for availing the fund from Delhi through the then Chief Minister, N. Rio. He informed that the Land Resource Department, a comparatively new department, with the completion of DPO office, Longleng has completed DPO office in the 11 districts of the state.
