Longleng, September 9 (MExN): A one-day district-level training on the U-Mentor application for medical officers, DPMs, DCMs, BPMs and BACs, along with a district RI microplan review, was held at the CMO Conference Hall here on Wednesday.

DPO (RMNCAH+N) Dr Imtijungshi Aier said the U-Mentor application is a digital initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare aimed at strengthening the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) through real-time monitoring and on-the-job mentorship of frontline health workers.

He said the training focused on using the platform to improve field-level guidance, programme oversight, supportive supervision planning, monitoring and data analysis, timely corrective action and the quality of routine immunisation services across the district.

During the RI microplan review, Aier highlighted the objectives of evaluating current performance, streamlining data collection and addressing microplanning gaps across health units.

The session covered inclusive microplanning and formats, accurate head-count surveys and desk review of RI microplans.
