Longwa Village Council submits representation

Mon, August 31 (MExN): The Longwa Village Council (LVC) submitted a representation to Mansukh L Mandaviya, Minister of state for Shipping (Independent Charge) and Chemical and Fertilizers, Government of India requesting for the speedy development of International Trade Centre in Longwa, public ground and proper road connection between the village and district headquarter.


The representation, LVC stated in a press release was submitted during the Minister’s visit along with his wife on August 30. The Minister assured to address the subjects to the higher authority, it stated. 


Advisor, Fire and Emergency RR and SIRD, Pohwang, Deputy Commissioner Mon, Superintendent of Police Mon, CO 35 Assam Rifles, Mon and others accompanied the Minister.


After the departure of the Minister, the dignitaries from Mon headquarter and Phomching Sub-division visited the Drug Detoxification and Rehabilitation Centre at Longwa and distributed food items and other materials to all the wards there.
