In a display of unity and concern for the future of the Lotha Baptist community, the Lotha Baptist Youth Leaders Forum (LBYLF) organised a rally of solidarity on May 15, to enhance peace and reconciliation within the Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA). Initially held at Vankhosung Ground, the event was later shifted to the Wokha Village Baptist Church due to heavy rainfall.
The rally drew participation from Lotha Baptist youth across different groups, united in their call for an end to the ongoing division within the LBCA. The event underscored the urgency of restoring unity and resolving disputes that have remained unsettled for the past three years.

Addressing the gathering, LBYLF Convenor Chenirao Jungi clarified that the rally was initiated solely by the youth forum without influence from any external group or individual. This is about the future of the Lotha people,” he said, refuting rumors of external interference. “The youth have taken this step because our elders have yet to act decisively. We believe there should be only one LBCA.”
Jungi emphasised that the prolonged division has deeply impacted the younger generation, both socially and spiritually. “We are weary of this division. We want healing and unity—not just for ourselves, but for the generations to come,” he added.

During the programme, the LBYLF formally submitted an appeal addressed to the executive secretaries of both parties within the LBCA. The letter outlined the struggles faced by youth amidst the division, urging leadership to work toward an amicable resolution. The appeal expressed confidence in the leadership's ability to reconcile differences and highlighted the youth's unwavering commitment to unity under one LBCA and the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC).
Copies of the appeal were also sent to the Nagaland Baptist Churches Council, all pastors of Lotha Baptist Churches, the Lotha Baptist Pastors Conference, Lotha Hoho, Lotha Eloe Hoho, Lotha Officers Forum, and the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU), and filed for official record.

The programme featured solidarity speeches from various youth leaders and church representatives, followed by a powerful mass prayer session. Youth participants knelt in heartfelt prayer at Vankhosung, seeking divine intervention for healing and unity within the LBCA.
The rally concluded peacefully, reaffirming the youth’s collective commitment to reconciliation and lasting unity within the Lotha Baptist Church community.
