Wokha, February 4 (MExN): Vungoju Football Club (VFC) and NRSA today entered the semifinals of the ongoing 10th Lotha Football Championship organised by Wokha District Football Association.
In the first quarterfinals at Local Ground, Wokha, tournament favorite VFC defeated Longsa Sports Association 7-2 to progress into the next stage.
VFC’s Hatsabemo scored four goals, making him one of the top contenders for highest goals of the tournament.
His teammates Nyithung, Yiben and Ratobe added one each. Vungthungo and Heichihang were the goal scorers for the Longsa Sports Association.
NRSA beat Vankhosung FC by 6-2 in the second quarterfinal match with George netting the first goal an in the 11th minute. Sachumo, Lelen and Winam also contributed a goal each while George struck again in the the 64th minute.
Two goals for Vankhosung FC came from the boots Ekon.
