Recalling that in his association with civil service aspirants in the last 6-7 years, he has come across many candidates whose economic status has prevented them from pursuing their dreams, Ngukato K Tsipu, Proprietor & COO of Dream Catcher Coaching and Training Institute (DCCTI) said that the core idea of “Lotsükhe” project is to provide free coaching to the economically weaker civil service aspirants without much burden to donor/sponsor.

“Lotsükhe Meritorious Scholarship Project,” an undertaking of DCCTI was formally launched by Dr Sukhato A Sema, MLA & Chairman, SDPDB, and LJP Legislature Party Leader on June 28. Giving more highlights about the Project, Ngukato K Tsipu explained that ‘Lotsükhe’ is derived from two Sumi words, “Lotsü” meaning “Wisdom” and “Khe” meaning “first of the numerical” and therefore, it literally means “Meritorious Scholarship.”

Stating there are many aspirants who want to sit for competitive exams with hope and aspiration to enter into government sector someday, but highlighted that “the difficulty in paying for coaching fees is the main stumbling block to actualise their dreams.” Towards this end, he said the scholarship was conceptualised “to facilitate ways and means for deserving meritorious aspirants from economically weaker section to avail coaching course for various competitive exams without any charges.”

‘Take and Give Scholarship Project’

Ngukato K Tsipu also highlighted that “Lotsükhe is a take and give scholarship project” through which, the DCCTI will mobilize fund from willful donors/sponsors and meet the coaching expenses of aspirants who are from economically weaker section. He said that it will also provide maximum fee concession from the institution’s side, besides free study materials, free revision class, counselling, mentoring, guidance, tips sharing on how to crack competitive exams etc.

The sponsorship is open to individuals, NGO/Society, Church, Union/Organisation, Village/Town Council, etc. In the last two years, the DCCTI has extended 100% free scholarship to 8 aspirants, some of whom have already cracked competitive examination and are in the government service while others are on their way to making a name for themselves.

One of the major highlights, he added, is that the Institute has been providing 50% discount for Persons With Disability. The Institute also provides 10% course fee discount for female aspirants as well as for aspirants from Eastern Nagaland and 15% course fee discount for all the aspirants from Sumi Aphuyemi.

‘Hard work is the hallmark of success’

Addressing the launch of the Lotsükhe Project, Dr Sukhato A Sema, MLA & Chairman, SDPDB, and LJP Legislature Party Leaders emphasized that “hard work is the hallmark of success.” He also expressed his wish that that every student who is enrolled at the DCCTI would become a meritorious student.

Orientation and counselling, he went on to say, “are the hallmark of this institution” while exuding hope that it would revive, restore, and transform with transparency all round aspects of our lives. Lauding the initiative, he also remarked that bringing social, financial and economic justice is the need of the hour, which the institution has undertaken through the project.

He also hoped that aspirants would enroll not just for the sake of passing competitive exams. “Our whole concept should be to become a capable leader”, he said while adding, “a sense of good governance and with the aim of peace building in our society. “If we can have leadership, democracy, good governance, disciplined life, peace and motivation in our hearts, you will be a leader who can bring all round development- socially, mentally, financially,” he stated.

Highlights of the event included invocation by Aghali K Sheqi, Associate Pastor, Youth, SABCK, speech on behalf of the students by Kavini Kiho and Lucy Arila Yimchunger, prayer and dedication of Lotsükhe Project by Rev Dr G Kiyeto Sema, Sr Pastor SABCK and concluding remarks by Olivia Wotsa, Academic Coordinator, DCCTI.
