Kohima, August 26 (MExN): In the wake of monsoon, the Changlang Battalion under the aegis of DAO Division in collaboration with DHFL Pramerica Co Ltd launched ‘Magic Monsoon’ drive.
The combined civil-military initiative was dedicated to the good of the people especially children in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, according to a press release from PRO (Defence), Col C Konwer.
In a series of programmes carried out over a fortnight, the security forces reached out to numerous schools in the district to distribute varied supplies ranging from stationery to umbrellas to young students, it added. Conducted in four phases, the drive covered Bapuji Government Primary School, Old Changlang Primary School, Kenghu Government Primary School, and D School.
Stationery, mosquito net, waste baskets, umbrellas, caps and other items were given to 160 students in the schools.
