Dimapur, January 23 (MExN): All is not well with the Congress over issuing ticket to a women candidate. The Congress of Dimapur has sharply criticized the Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee writing a letter to AICC president Sonia Gandhi, seeking her “blessings” for the candidature of one Khegholi Awomi. A response from the president of ACCC 3 Dimapur III Assembly Constituency informed “madamji” that the Mahila Congress “does not know even an iota of 3 Dimapur III A/c.” president of the Congress unit, Vihoshe Awomi advised the Mahila Congress president not to “fool our leaders at Delhi as this will prove negative for the party.”
“We would also like to challenge Mrs. Atsole Wazah to prove her ability in Dimapur III A/c as to how many votes she can woo for Mrs. Khegholi who is seeking Congress ticket without any base” stated the Dimapur Congress. The unit even went as far to challenge the Mahila Congress president that “if she can bring at least 20 votes for her candidate, the ACCC Dimapur III shall consider her as capable leader.”
The ACCC also informed “madamji” and Mahila president that the unit had “unanimously” recommended one Azheto Zhimomi since “he is a winnable candidate.” The unit further condescended the Mahila Congress by stating whether the Mahila president “understands the democracy that is practicing in the Congress party” or “if she understands the meaning of ‘unanimous’? The Dimapur ACCC further advised the Mahila not to “fool the high command and the electorates by accepting an air ticket and other personal benefit.
