Major weapon cache recovered in Manipur

Imphal, April 10 (MExN): The 5 Jammu & Kashmir Rifles (Tulihal Battalion) of 9 Sector Assam Rifles along with Bishnupur Police Commandos conducted a major search operation in Ishok Village, Bishnupur District, Manipur over a period of two days and recovered a cache of automatic weapons. A closely followed and validated input over a period of three months resulted in locating the weapon cache, a defence press release stated. In the two day long operation which started on April 8, the combined team of 5 J&K Rifles along with Bishnupur Commandos recovered nine weapons which included three M-16 rifles, five AK-56 rifles, one A4 Rifle and one M 203 UBGL, the release added.
