
ADC Pfutsero informs on COVID-19 measures
Phek, May 7 (MExN): Due to unprecedented increase in COVID-19 cases and detection of cases in the district and within Pfutsero sub-division, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pfutsero issued an order informing of measures and SOPs to curb the spread of the virus, a DIPR report stated.
As per the ADC’s order, there will be mandatory 7 days home isolation for persons entering Pfutsero sub- division from outside the State while following other norms as per the latest consolidated guidelines. Health Authorities, Ward and Village authorities should be informed, the order stated.

In reference to the order issued earlier on May 4, all places of mass gatherings are to be closed including religious places, except for solemnization of weddings with prior permission of the Deputy Commissioner and the gathering shall be limited up to 50 persons.
The ADC advised the public to avoid non-essential travelling, particularly to containment zones of Kohima and Dimapur, as most of the COVID-19 positive cases have resulted out of the travelers and returnees. Urgent travelers should take all the necessary measures, the order stated.
High risk groups including persons, pregnant mothers and persons above 65 years of age have been advised to stay home.
All business establishments and shops have been permitted to remain open as per directive of the State government but shall strictly follow all COVID-19 protocols including setting up of hand hygiene (hand sanitizer) facilities, wearing of masks and gloves, avoid crowding, proper sanitization of the shops and its premises, and other measures as notified, it added.
All coaching/hostels/vocational institutions are to be closed. However, online/distance learning shall continue to be permitted and shall be encouraged.
The ADC also reminded the public to mandatorily wear face masks at all times, maintain adequate social distancing, follow strict hand hygiene and other COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
Any violation of the SOPs and the mentioned measures will be liable for prosecution as per Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster management Act, 2005, Section 188 of the IPC and termination of trade license, the order stated.
