Summer vacation from May 1 to 31

Meanwhile, Manipur government on Monday declared commencement of summer vacation for all schools affiliated to BOSEM and COHSEM from May 1 to 31. The government took the decision “in view of the current surge in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state in the wake of second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic,” an order issued by Commissioner (Education Schools) T Ranjit Singh.

The move was also related to avoid any kind of unwanted consequences likely to occur in the near future and to allay the fear and apprehensions among the students, teaching community, parents/guardians and all concerned stakeholders and taking into consideration all relevant aspects related to second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, as stated in the order.

It directed all heads of institutions, all government aided and private schools, affiliated to BOSEM and COHSEM that they should make arrangement for detailing at least four to five staff by making an appropriate daily roster of the said staff (teaching and non teaching) and to ensure their attendance in the institutions and to render unavoidable official duties during the vacation period.

Further, it advised all concerned authorities of the schools or institution to ensure making necessary arrangements or preparations for commencement or resumption of online teaching/learning exercise on reopening of classes after the summer vacation or until further orders.
